Jonathan’s Specialty Areas
Jonathan works with teens, young adults, and adults who are carrying the weight of trauma — whether from childhood, relationships, community violence, or the demands of frontline service. He has a special dedication to veterans and first responders, not just as a therapist, but as someone who has stood in their boots. Jonathan is a combat veteran and former first responder who understands the unspoken burdens that come with service — the hypervigilance, the isolation, the guilt, and the moments that never seem to leave you.
In therapy, Jonathan offers more than tools — he offers understanding. Whether you're struggling with flashbacks, anxiety, numbness, or just the feeling that you're not fully living, you're not alone here. This is a place to lay your armor down and begin healing at your own pace.
Jonathan’s Therapy Approaches
Jonathan’s work is grounded in safety, trust, and the belief that healing is always possible — even when it doesn’t feel that way. He draws from psychodynamic and trauma-informed practices, integrating mindfulness to help clients gently reconnect with their bodies and inner resilience.
For those navigating the effects of post-traumatic stress, Jonathan offers EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Prolonged Exposure — two proven methods for processing painful memories and regaining a sense of peace. His approach is steady, grounded, and collaborative. You won’t be rushed or pushed — you’ll be guided with care and respect every step of the way.
Jonathan’s Training & Experience
Jonathan holds a Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology with a Trauma Certification from Chestnut Hill College. He is a Certified Trauma Professional and licensed as an Associate Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania.
Jonathan has worked extensively with survivors of gun violence in West Philadelphia through the University of Pennsylvania, where he continues to support clients in their Psychosis Clinic. He is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Prolonged Exposure — two of the most effective treatments for post-traumatic stress.
Jonathan is also continuing his clinical training through a Doctor of Psychology program at Immaculata University. This ongoing education allows him to deepen his expertise and bring the most current, evidence-based practices into his work with clients.

Insurance & Rates
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, many insurance plans offer reimbursement for out-of-network services or permit the use of HSA/FSA funds. I’m happy to assist you in understanding how to verify these benefits with your insurance provider and can supply the necessary documentation for reimbursement, if applicable. Working with an out-of-network provider offers greater flexibility and a more personalized therapy experience.
